I’m back!
It’s another Friday and, as threatened, I’m writing my second newsletter. I’m two for two, baby!
This was kind of a weird week for me. I started it off with some serious pandemic fatigue. Being creative was a struggle, particularly in the beginning of the week. Nevertheless, I managed to get some (I think) good stuff done, including:
A new draft of LA Law. (One never knows with TV development, particularly for network TV, but the team we’ve assembled for this is already among the best, most collaborative, and most pleasant I’ve ever had the good fortune to work with. I really hope this sucker goes so we can all keep working together.)
Work on a script for the third issue of a comic coded PROJECT CRACKERJACK.
Work on a pitch for a potential new TV project which I’m calling PROJECT GRANITE for now.
Next week will probably entail some carry-over from this past week, including finishing the script for PROJECT CRACKERJACK and finalizing the PROJECT GRANITE pitch. At least that’s the plan. Doesn’t always go that way.
Here’s a glimpse at some art from PROJECT ENCORE. We haven’t announced this, or the artist I’m working with, yet so I had to choose something that won’t give away the game:
I really wish I could show more. Eventually…
I’m hoping to make this a regular “feature” (I prefer “staple”) of this newsletter. I’m intending it for a little morsel from something I’ve worked on in the past. Might be art, might be script pages, I dunno.
I recently delved into my Dropbox files to find some Arrow rarities for the Olicity fandom as part of an initiative to raise money for the American Cancer Society organized by @thisiselley. In the process, I came across some non-Olicity goodies that I thought would be fun to share.
But don’t worry, every week won’t be something Arrow-related. But this week, we’ll do two. The first is the “slate” for the first shot of the Arrow Pilot:
The second item is something the incredibly talented — and funny — Art Department worked up for Arrow’s third season:
That’s it from me this week. See you next Friday. And if you enjoyed this week’s newsletter, please:
Be good to each other.

Awesome Arrow images! My favorite show ever! I’m really enjoying this newsletter. It’s great to see a little behind the scenes of your works and the process. Thank you for sharing and I can’t wait for the next entry! 😎🙏🏻
